Entrepreneurs seeking capital are invited to apply to be considered as a presenter at this venture conference on October 27th.  Seed/Early stage ($500K to 7M) or mid stage (Series-B of no more than $20M) companies  based in the Americas and seeking investment capital are encouraged to apply to present. If you are selected as a finalist for MobiTechFest, you will have the opportunity to pitch your presentation to 20+ active investors from Silicon Valley.

Six of the Most Promising Early-Stage Innovations identified by the MobiTechFest review team will also have the added opportunity for national exposure before a CTIA audience of 2000+ people including investors and media as a keynote presenter on October 9th morning at CTIA 2009 in San Diego.  One of the six innovations will be judged as the  "Best of Show"  by an all-star investor panel.  In addition to bragging rights and media exposure, this winner will also win a complimentary marketing and exhibiting package from CTIA and MobiTechFest with a combined value of $25,000 to apply to a 2010 CTIA event. The package includes:  10x20 booth, 5 VIP Smart Pass Registrations, Pre-show mailing list and two email blasts to CTIA lists, Full Page Ad in the Official Show Guide and Listing in the CTIA Wireless Industry Directory.

Please Note : We will select the most promising and innovative six companies for this keynote on October 9th (so not all MobiTechFest finalists will automatically be selected to CTIA keynote). There's no cost to be selected for this keynote, but you must fit our criteria of being a seed or early stage innovation seeking new investment in one of the following areas and then be selected as a finalist.

Mobile Enterprise, Mobile Health, Mobile Payments, Killer Apps that drive LTE Adoption , Mobile Apps (Revenue based vs Advertizing supported), Wireless Equipment/ Networks, Location Based Services etc..

Selection Process & Presentation Fee (For MobiTechFest)

Since MobiTechFest  is a venture conference, you must be a company/startup seeking funding.  There's also a presenter fee of $895 for MobiTechFest, if you are selected to present. You MUST also have your investor presentation materials - executive summary (template) and investor presentation (standard 10 minute pitch) ready.

Criteria for Selection: The team of judges will select the finalists based on a 14-category ranking system including the merit of the entry, the investor-attractiveness of the proposal and investor-readyness of the presenter. A team of experts including investors, industry experts and others make up the review team.

Fee: There's no fee to submit your nomination or to be selected for just the CTIA showcase but for MobiTechFest, there's a $895 presenting company fee, which covers the presentation fee , pre-conference coaching and cost for the registration for the presenter. Upto two additional registrations from the same company will be accomodated at $99 each.

There is a three-phased selection process that includes an initial pre-screen as soon we receive the proposal, a team review following the initial screen and a final ranking after the 12th of October Only the top 12 companies will be selected to present and you will be informed of your selection on or before October 12th.

Dry-runs will be scheduled via the web or in person (Palo Alto) on October 19th and 20th. If you are selected, you MUST participate in these mandatory presentation coaching/dry-runs (included in the presenter fee)

Please do not submit your executive summary if you disagree with the any of the above requirements.

Venture Conference on October 27th, 2009
On October 27th each presenting company will have a maximum of 20-25 minutes allotted for your presentation. This is split into a 10-15 minute formal presentation, followed by a 5-10 minute Q&A,  from the investor audience. You'll also obtain written feedback from each of the investors that will be shared with you within one week of the event.
