Selection Process & Presentation Fee
Since LifeScieneceFest is a venture conference, you must be a company/startup seeking funding. There's also a presenter fee of $795 once you get selected. You MUST also have your investor presentation materials - executive summary (template) and investor presentation ready.
We will need your executive summary at the minimum, but preferably your investor presentation as well in order to make a decision about your selection as a presenter. The more the team knows about your business, the better it is.
Criteria for Selection: The team of judges will select the finalists based on the merit of the entry, the investor-attractiveness of the proposal and investor-readyness of the presenter.
Fee: There's no fee to submit your nomination, but if you get selected, there's a $795 presenting company fee, which covers the presentation fee , pre-conference coaching and cost for the registration for the presenter. Upto two additional registrations from the same company will be accomodated at $99 each.
There is a three-phased selection process that includes an initial pre-screen as soon we rec the proposal, a team review following the initial screen and a final ranking after the 15th. Only the top 12-16 ranked companies will be selected to present and you will be informed of your selection on or before August 20th.
Dry-runs will be scheduled via the web or in person (Palo Alto) on Sep 1st and 2nd. If you are selected, you MUST participate in these presentation coaching/dry-runs (included in the presenter fee)
Please do not submit your executive summary if you disagree with the fee or the policy.
Conference on Sep 9 2009
On Sep 9th, each presenting company will have a maximum of 25 minutes allotted for your presentation. This is split into a 15 minute formal presentation, followed by a 10 minute Q&A, from the investor audience. You'll also obtain written feedback from each of the investors that will be shared with you within one week of the event. Please call us at +1-415-320-2048 or email us at info@lifesciencefest.com if you have further questions.
